Female Form by WonderDookie Female Form by WonderDookie
I know I know, not my normal thing.

It has been a few years since I took a figure drawing class, so I just thought I'd brush up a bit. I didn't originally intend to post it, but I kind of like how it turned out.

Also I needed to do a bit more procrastinating.

That is all.

Wow... :wow:
That is amazing. I love how the shapes and lines and colours just seem to flow in this... the shapes trace out like a river in my mind. :+fav:

Thanks! That's really what I was trying to do. Outline the form with flowing lines!! I'm seriously happy that you interpreted it that way.

Wow. That would not be my initial reaction when looking at a picture of the female form.

oh yeah, that is looking good - the lines flow nicely, and the shading is great as well

Thanks! It was cool to try something new with this. It's been a while since I did any kind of figure drawing.

There are aspects of this drawing that bug the crap out of me and I need to work on, so I think I will probably end up posting something similar in the future (after I finish the other fifteen ideas that I have on my checklist).

ah, curse of the artist--finding all the flaws in your own work. but really, this drawing had so much character to it and a definite body language. I'd love to see more (after the completion of the other 15 ideas, of course)

What the F is this? This isn't funny!? Just joshin'! The composition = awesome. Are the highlights a really light green, or are they actually white, and it's just one of those optical illusions?

Curses! I'll have to crank up the funny. I would hate to mess with your preconceptions.

The highlight is actually a gradient going from a light orange to a light green.

So it's NOT a trick. I've been fooled by optical illusions so many times that I don't trust my eyes anymore. Very subtle sir ... well played.

So by not tricking you... It was almost like tricking you. I win.

I've never had a figure-drawing class (so I'm sorry I can't offer any real critique) but I think it is very stream-lined like Muttly said. I like the pose, especially her out-stretched hand.

Yay for procrastinating! :boogie:

Hey, as far as I'm concerned all opinions are valuable. Thanks!

And with that said... I think I'm going to go procrastinate some more.
