Guybrush Breakdown by WonderDookie Guybrush Breakdown by WonderDookie
Yay! More Monkey Island illustrations! Guybrush and Elaine riding the tunnel of love.

This never happened in the games, I know. And it also kind of breaks the time-line with the inclusion of Murray in the piece when the rest of the characters are MI2 design. OH WELL! I like that design best.

I also thought I'd do a drawing to celebrate the season. So... Happy Valentine's Day

Ha ha. Yes. It does seem a tad bit melodramatic in retrospect.

I ask still rather proud if how LeChuck turned out in this though.

This one I used flash entirely on. Sometimes I mix it up between flash and photoshop though.

Don't you know? Murray was in all the games. He's been around since before the first one. You just didn't see him. ;D

You guys always submit something for special occasions.

Anyway, Good god. how many fan arts do you submit each month?? Not that I'm complaining. This is good stuff. Nice cork in the boat reference there.
It's always nice to see Murray. For no particular reason, there he is... snorkelling.. I like Guybrush's shirt. and the sunken hearts were also a cool idea. The only thing that sickens me is that mushroom...too much mushiness.

No clouds though??!

Eh. It was more of an excuse to upload a Monkey Island idea I had without seeming too mushy. Oh, and the mushroom was supposed to increase the horrificness. Too much?

Ha ha. It is funny that my cloud style was inspired by Monkey Island but I didn't include it in here.

i'd love to see you work on a new installment of Monkey Island, going back to the S.C.U.M.(M?) engine.

i still need to play the first two games, for that day when i miraculously have free time

Oh dude. That would basically be a dream come true.

I have to say that the second one is actually my favorite of the series. It just gets so ridiculous!

Yeah, too bad they mostly just make games that I don't want to play. It used to be a given that if they made a game I'd love it. Now I don't even own any new ones... well... aside from KOTOR. But I credit BioWare with those ones.

yeah, same with Dark Forces 3, all Raven (and the story suffered since LA abandoned it, though the gameplay was fun - never could get it to work in multiplayer, though)

I never actually made it to Dark Forces 3. That's after I had given up on Lucasarts.

yeah, Jedi Outcast... really great saber fighting, the best I've ever played actually - control like you'd never imagine (once you get the hang of it) and some of the most bad ass action sequences of any game ever (if you're into lightsabers and force powers, that is -- and who isn't?). Nothing like force jumping over a squadron of stormtroopers with saber drawn, force-pulling them all into the air towards you, slicing a few of them before you land, and then waiting for the rest to come clattering down in a cacophony of shattering armor and bones...and screams, of course!

ha. Wait! I think I did play that one a couple of times actually. Couldn't you lift guys up with th force and then toss your lightsaber through them?

Ha ha ha Murray has a snorkel on but he's dead so he doesn't need to breathe. I find that funny. Is he trying to be scary even in the tunnel of love?

Excellent! I love how Guybrush looks like he's at the end of the worst day in history, and how LeChuck is just crammed into that boat. It doesn't look like he'll ever get out.

Monkey Island FTW! It was the first computer game I owned :D
Great work, again! And I love the thoughful details - cork in the boat (lol), pirate ducky, skull with snorkel.
It really adds to atmosphere <3

Thanks! There was always so much randomness in the game, I tried to make the drawing kind of manic.

I don't think Monkey Island was the first game I owned (I think that was Doom), but I'm pretty sure I've beat them all more than any other games.

Gar. I'm in a somewhat similar predicament. I've been watching a lot of stuff online, and my computer can't handle video and flash at the same time. So I have A LOT of pencil drawings to color in.
