Happy Halloween!

This year I thought it would be fun to do my own variation on Stingy Jack, the legendary figure that the Jack O' Lantern is named after.

If you haven't read it before, the traditional legend of Stingy Jack is all over the internet - [link]

I personally prefer the version where Jack tricks the devil into giving him eternal life, but the devil takes his head to Hell with him, leaving Jack with a hallowed out turnip, and an ember from the flames of Hell. So I decided to draw that one. I thought it would look more spooky.

I know the drawing is a bit dark too, but I rather like the idea of having to let your eyes adjust to it.

The colors are super rich--nice work, Dooks! Your scary stuff is pretty badass, I must say.

Oh man. Yeah, I really like drawing that kind of Halloween stuff. I just only do it during October, so it makes the season feel more festive.

This one looks super dark on my monitor. I think you have your monitor set at a funny angle.
The reddish glow at the bottom of this piece makes it look like the ground is opening up to release some creatures.

Oh that's what I was going for with that glow. if you look closely one of the brambles looks like a hand.

And I don't know what the deal is with those monitors.

And you just farted.
