The Ghost With The Most by WonderDookie The Ghost With The Most by WonderDookie
Something a little Halloween oriented to celebrate the beginning of October! I definitely wanted to do a Beetlejuice based off of the movie rather than the cartoon, so I was going for a bit of a Keaton likeness in this one too.

My computer motherboard got fried week before last (and for the time being I'm stuck on a really old laptop), so I played around with coloring this one a little more traditionally (markers and colored pencils). My computer failure might have been a bit serendipitous. I like how this turned out. I have to say though, it looks MUCH better in person.

How did I miss this?!

Awwww! I love this movie! He's so endearingly disgusting! Like I said, your caricatures are the best. The teeth are especially righteous. And you spelled his name right!

Man... It kind of makes me sick that you're equally awesome with a mouse or a marker.

That's actually my endgame. To be so good at drawing (digitally and traditionally) that I actually make people throw up. My gallery will have plastic sheeting on the floors and a whole lot of air fresheners hanging from the ceiling.

And thanks! I do love those old Burton movies too. Back before he became a caricature of himself.

haha. yeah, that movie is fantastic. I was just at the store earlier today and had a bit of a crisis when I saw a 20th anniversary version of it. Made me feel really old.

Thanks! Happy to hear that. To be honest this was really one of my first attempts at markers/pencils, so I'm even more flattered.

Yeah! Beetlejuice came out in 1988. The movie is over 20 years old now. It's insane.

Oh. I plan on doing more. Thanks for the boost!

Aside from featuring The Ghost With the Most which already makes this piece win, I'm also really liking the overall layout. It is clean and iconic, and a nice level of detail without being too much. Not that that is unexpected from you, but just bringing that up since I really don't comment on your great stuff often enough.

I probably would have spelled it that way if I didn't look it up. I just knew it wasn't "juice."

Wonderful work as usual! :highfive: I love the gory decaying peeling skin on the sides of his face, and those manic eyes - brilliant!

There's a different feel to it, having been coloured with traditional methods - really like it!

Yeah. It's definitely a different experience drawing it too. I'm rather enjyoing working more traditionally though. It's fun to branch out a bit (I've been inking and markering away like a madman this weekend.)
