In the immortal words of Monty Python, "And now for something completely different."
I felt like trying my hand at doing a portrait. I'm normally terrible at drawing both women and skin tones, so I was trying to kill two birds with one stone. Originally I had only intended to do a quick little sketch, but actually got into this "painting". I'm hoping I didn't over render it though. I wasn't going for photo-realistic, but more loosely colored, like an impressionist portrait (I'm not a huge fan of overly rendered Photoshop images).
The girl is from a stock image I found here on devART (Sadly, the rumors are true, I do not have beautiful women lining up to model for my Photoshop drawings).
Well awesome! It's always fun to take a trip out of the box sometimes (even if that means trying to mimic a painting style from two centuries ago... hmmmm....)
Wow, you are just a Deviant of many talents! That is really gorgeous. The mouth is a little wonky - small, I guess, if you want to be technical - but facial proportions are hard unless you know all the tricks and shortcuts. But I love how it looks very must like an oil painting. I'll never know how one accomplishes such a feat using Photoshop.
You're one of the best examples I know of that prove the saying, "Once you put your mind to it, you can do anything."
I think it's perty. I like the blocked in style...very painterly. Now, since I'm actually in the rare position to give you a critique....would you like one?
awesome work

URGH. Now when I look at the mouth it does seem pretty poorly done compared to the rest of the "painting". I think I got lazy on that part.
