Anna and I are doing a promotional giveway on our Facebook web-site, trying to raise a bit more awareness of our products. We are giving away prints of some of our favorite collaborations (including the Monkey Island Facemelter, and the Baking Bread) that we are not selling, nor intend to sell.

If anyone is interested, please check out our Facebook page - www.facebook.com/chuckletree

My old blog kicked the bucket, so I've switched to blogspot.  If any of you all are interested I've relocated to here - dansartblog.blogspot.com

I haven't posted much yet, but I did make a page for my Ninja Turtles redesigns with more detailed descriptions of why I illustrated them the way I did.

I've seen this around a few places and thought it would be fun.  That and I'm not particularly motivated to draw right now.  A couple of these are pretty obscure, but others are painfully easy.

Instructions:
1. Read the quotes below.
2. Comment guessing the movies and/or characters the quotes are from.
3. Then read the rules at the bottom of the page and make your own movie quote guessing game!
4. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions.
5. It's perfectly okay to mention that you know the answer to one even if it's already been guessed. I'm interested to know how many of you can guess them correctly.

1. "Okay, but dogs CAN look up!" (:iconc4codey:)

2. "You must love the little birdies to give them this to perch on." (:iconwickedangel79:)

3. "Nobody tosses a dwarf." (:iconwhosname:)

4. "Who's scruffy looking!?" (:iconundeaddeviation:)

5. "I collect spores, molds, and fungus" (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconundeaddeviation: :iconmusicsuperspaz: )

6. "No ticket." (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconundeaddeviation: :iconteela-b:)

7. "Hey Phil, if you're gonna spew, spew into this." (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconteela-b:)

8. :iconmusicsuperspaz: - "If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit." (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconundeaddeviation: :iconteela-b:)

9. "I don't need your fuckin' sympathy, man, I need my fucking johnson!" (:icondoctorbollocks:)

10. "Look up 'idiot' in the dictionary. You know what you'll find?
    "A picture of me?"
"No! The definition of the word idiot, which you fucking are!" (:iconundeaddeviation:)

11. "Only one man would dare give me the raspberry." (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconundeaddeviation::iconteela-b: :iconmusicsuperspaz:)

12. "My fellow nerds and I will retire to the nerdery with our calculators."

13. "Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn." (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconundeaddeviation: :iconmusicsuperspaz:)

14. "Maybe I'm spending too much of my time starting up clubs and putting on plays. I should probably be trying harder to score chicks. " (:iconsuperleezard:, :icondoctorbollocks:)

15. "This is Walter! *screaming*" (:icongpapanto:)

16. "You idiot!  You glued it on upside down." (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconundeaddeviation:)

17. "Hey, I've lost my stutter. It's gone. I can speak. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconteela-b:)

18. "Some billionaire's got the Holy Grail in his library on Fifth Avenue." (:icondoctorbollocks:)

19. "If you and your undershirt will walk two paces backwards, I could enter this dwelling. "

20. "So, brave knights, if you do doubt your courage or your strength, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth." (:icondoctorbollocks: :iconundeaddeviation:)

Rules:
1. Pick 20 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.

I was recently featured in another gallery in one of those "Show Three Thumbnails" scenarios.  Unfortunately I'm not cool enough to be a devart member and can't put thumbnails in my journals, so instead I'm just linking to 10 awesome galleries here on devart.  (Fanartists are heavily represented in this line-up)

:iconcarlpearce: - His control of fountain pens is nothing short of magic.

:iconanjinanhut: - Brilliant use of digital media (check out his free PS brushes), and awesome character designs/redesigns.

:icondiddyhahoo: - Check out the homemade book she did for her BFA gallery show!

:icondiscovear: - Seriously great style and color schemes.  It's embarrassing that his gallery doesn't get more attention.

:iconjimmymcwicked: - It's always a treat to see familiar characters in his style.

:iconlouieville-xxiii: - Awesome style and hilarious expressions.  His cookie monster illustration is one of my favorite pictures on DA.

:iconstayte-of-the-art: - Again, SO MUCH awesome fanart.  Anyone who is this into 80s classics is A.O.K. with me.

:iconsteeringfornorth: - Unique style that she really excels at.  I really dig her subject matter as well.

:iconstockmanart: - This guy is so prolific it makes me want to throw up.  Great action poses and comic book style.  Maybe if we all bug him enough he'll throw more of his awesome graffiti style into his future work as well.

:iconphillgonzo: - Brilliant photoshop rendering work.  I REALLY like his black and white inking style too.

On an unrelated note, I keep getting virus warnings on devart pages.  Sometimes my browser won't even let me load deviantart because of "malware warnings".  It's becoming worrisome.

I uploaded a few sketches onto my blog today if y'all are interested.  At the risk of appearing to be self-promoting here's the link - thebigproductions.com/danblog/

I figured it'd be easier to do it that way then spend a bunch of time uploading individual scraps to my devart profile.  I have to say that I prefer uploading to the blog too.  I have more freedom to include links, embed video, etc. as well as include the original sketches of a lot of my drawings.

On a totally unrelated note I got the complete collections of "Far Side" and "Calvin and Hobbes".  I am a happy man.

A moment ago I was going through my messages, and checked out my Santa Vs. Satan drawing...

Apparently, at the end of the sixth day after the illustration was uploaded, it had 666 views.  Is it just me, or is that terrifying?

Now I'm questioning whether I should finish the Santa vs. Satan sequel that I've been working on.

I got my new digital pen tablet in the mail today, and it's gorgeous.  After getting my tax return I splurged (hahaha.... gross) and bought the Intuos 4.  I've spent basically the entire day coloring.  Expect a number of submissions in the next week.

On a totally unrelated note: coating a bratwurst in pepper spray makes it wonderfully spicy, but leaves a dreadful spray paint aftertaste.

Hey, if you're all interested, I just uploaded an image for a poster design contest hosted by HBO.

conchordswiki.hbo.com/album/75…

It's pretty easy, the entire point was to design a poster for Flight of the Conchords, something I would probably do for fun anyway.

Anyway, I can't upload it on here, but I thought some of you might enjoy seeing it anyway.  The whole poster is am ambigram, so you can look at it right-side up or upside down, or whichever is which.

Thanks to la-lo for pointing out the contest to me in the first place.

Time for a change of journal.  I was starting to feel like a bit of a douche for that "Gripe!" entry.  Now I'm going to be a force for good!  Instead of linking to work that makes me want to grind my teeth into calcium dust (grrr), I'm going to post a few links to galleries that rock my socks off.  (Also, I haven't been uploading very much lately.  All of the stuff I'm working on is secret.  Sssshhh!)

Maybe I'll try to make this a bi-weekly exercise.

My first link is to :iconstockmanart:.  I recently finished inking and coloring that Nightcrawler drawing of his, and I'm still enamored of is gallery.  This dude has awesome energy in his drawings as well as a strong sense of dynamic composition (Yipes... that last bit sounds like a cliche).

Anyway, he's prolific as shit too. I'm relatively certain he's running an illustrative sweat shop in his basement.  Or he doesn't sleep.  I'm still trying to glean the secrets of his fecundity.

Today I conducted a bit of an experiment.

I opened five "random deviants" in five tabs in my internet browser.  I then cycled through the tabs to see what sort of galleries were displayed.  Results:  All anime!

I hate to beat a dead horse, or troll this site, but COME ON! What ever happened to the concept of unique expression and style?  So many people that draw anime could be amazing illustrators if they stopped recycling the same garbage over and over again.  Please!  Embrace individuality!

Rather than subject you all to further griping I've decided to just start a folder in my favorites titled, "Art So Bad It's Worth Getting Banned For" that I'll randomly add to to illustrate my point.

I have officially decided that "Bon Jovi" deserves to be the world's next curse word.  "Bon Jovi" already feels like such a profane term, I think that this is the next logical step.

So, next time you stub your toe, belt out a loud, "BON JOVI!"

Next time your dog is breathing directly in your face, push them aside and exclaim, "Get outta here!  You've got Bon Jovi breath!"

Or next time your sibling is singing along to "I'll Be There For You" scream, "Shut the Bon Jovi up!"

Just don't say "Bon Jovi" around your grandmother.  Her heart can't take it.

A hundred million thanks to everyone for the DD and all of the kind comments, favs, etc.  I can't tell you how perfect the timing was.  I was in a bit of a funk for the last couple weeks that this really helped knock me out of.

So now I have about a bajillion messages to sort through, and it is my mission to give them all the attention they deserve!

If I don't upload for the next couple weeks or so, you'll know why.

Wish me luck!
